This high-performance steel forging marine mooring & anchor chain features black coating and is available in both stud and studless link types. Professionally engineered for marine anchoring and mooring systems of various vessels and offshore facilities, it offers excellent structural strength, seawater corrosion resistance, and load-bearing capacity, fully compliant with international marine classification society standards.
Material Advantages
Manufactured from high-quality marine special alloy steel round bar, primarily CM490 (U2 grade). The steel forging process optimizes internal metal structure, eliminating internal stress and significantly improving the chain's tensile, impact, and fatigue resistance.
Chain Types
Stud Link Type: Features internal reinforcing studs for stable structure that resists deformation, suitable for heavy load anchoring of large ships and offshore engineering. Nominal diameter range: 12.5mm - 120mm.
Studless Link Type: Lighter weight without internal studs, easy to match with large shackles, avoiding stud loosening faults. Nominal diameter range: 12.5mm - 70mm, ideal for medium and small vessels.
Manufacturing Process
- Raw Material Preparation: Selection of low-carbon steel wire rod with surface treatment to remove impurities
- Chain Forming and Welding: Specialized chain braiding equipment with flash butt welding and shaping
- Heat Treatment: Overall tempering treatment to eliminate welding stress and improve tensile strength
- Hot-Dip Galvanizing: Immersion in molten zinc at 440-460℃ for uniform corrosion protection coating
- Final Inspection: Comprehensive quality control including zinc layer adhesion and dimensional verification
