Manufacturing Process:

Selection and Pre-treatment of Raw Materials
Select high-quality alloy steel (such as 20CrMnTi, 40Cr, etc.) as the base material for the chain plates, and use chromium-molybdenum alloy steel for the pins and sleeves. After the raw materials arrive at the factory, they need to be verified for material composition through spectroscopy analysis and hardness testing; then, they undergo straightening and rust removal to remove surface oxide scales and impurities, avoiding subsequent processing defects.
Precision Pressing of Chain Plates
Use CNC stamping equipment to process the alloy steel plates according to the designed dimensions for integrated processing of blanking + punching, directly forming the 8-shaped chain plate section. During the stamping process, the mold gap is strictly controlled to ensure that the hole diameter tolerance of the chain plate is ≤ ±0.05mm, and the edges have no burrs or flash; after stamping, the chain plate is flattened to ensure that the flatness error is ≤ 0.1mm/m, avoiding uneven force during assembly.
Cold Bending Processing of Pins and Sleeves
Pins and sleeves are formed by cold bending process, replacing traditional cutting processing, which can significantly improve material utilization and component strength. The pins after cold bending need to be finely ground by an uncentered grinding machine to ensure that the surface roughness Ra ≤ 0.4μm, and the diameter tolerance is controlled within h8 grade; the inner wall of the sleeves is treated by honing to ensure precise matching of the fit with the pins and meet the requirements for rotational flexibility.
Heat Treatment for Key Components
This is the core process that determines the strength and wear resistance of the chain, and it is carried out in three steps:
Carburizing treatment: Place the chain plates, pins, and sleeves in a carburizing furnace and introduce carburizing medium at 900-930℃ to increase the carbon content on the surface to 0.8%-1.2% and the depth to 0.8-1.2mm;
Quenching + Low-Temperature Tempering: After carburizing, quickly quench and cool to form a high-hardness martensite structure on the surface, then temper at 180-220℃ to eliminate internal stress, and finally the surface hardness of the components reaches HRC 58-62, while the core maintains HRC 30-35 for toughness, balancing wear resistance and impact resistance;
Cleaning and Drying: After heat treatment, remove the oxide scales and oil stains on the surface of the components to avoid residual impurities affecting subsequent assembly.
Chain Assembly and Pre-Tensioning
Assembly process: Use automated assembly equipment to press the sleeves into the inner chain plate holes, then insert the pins through the sleeves and the outer chain plates to form a chain section unit; for non-gapped chains, the structure has no intermediate crossbar, and the entire chain is assembled directly through the interlaced combination of the outer and inner chain plates.
Pre-Tensioning Treatment: Fix the assembled chain on a dedicated tensile machine, apply 1.5 times the rated working load of tension and hold for 10-15 minutes to eliminate the assembly gap and residual stress, preventing elongation and deformation during use, and the length tolerance of the chain after pre-tensioning is controlled within ±0.1%.
Surface Anti-corrosion Treatment
According to customer requirements and application scenarios, select the corresponding surface treatment process:
Galvanizing: Use hot-dip galvanizing or electro-galvanizing, with a coating thickness of ≥ 85μm, suitable for humid and mild corrosion environments;
Blackening: Form a black protective film through chemical oxidation, suitable for dry conditions, with both rust prevention and aesthetic properties;
Galvanizing: Suitable for marine and highly corrosive environments, with strong adhesion and salt spray resistance of over 1000 hours.

Features:

The main body is made of high-quality alloy steel. The key components such as chain plates and pin shafts have undergone professional heat treatment including carburizing and quenching, achieving a hardness of HRC40-50, significantly enhancing strength and fatigue resistance.
The pin shafts and sleeves are made of chromium-molybdenum steel and undergo polishing treatment. The surface roughness is controlled below Ra0.4μm, reducing friction loss during movement.
The chain plates are stamped, the components are cold-hammered, and pre-tensioned assembly processes are adopted to ensure a compact structure and secure connection, suitable for long-term high-frequency operation requirements.

The no-plate design simplifies the structure while achieving lightweight and rigidity. The chain plate adopts an 8-shaped cross-section, which reduces weight while balancing the forces in all directions.
The sleeve and pin shaft are designed for dynamic fit, allowing the rollers to rotate freely. When meshing with the chain wheel teeth, it forms rolling friction, significantly reducing the wear rate.
It supports single-row, double-row or multi-row combinations. The multi-row structure is connected in parallel through spacer rings, and the capacity can be flexibly adapted to different load requirements.
It can be paired with surface treatment processes such as blackening and galvanizing to enhance rust prevention and corrosion resistance, and is suitable for complex working environments.

22mm 8x37 Galvanizing High Carbon Fiber Core Triple Strand Twisted Marine Wire Rope
Russian Federation Oct 23.2025
Our icebreaker support vessels in the Arctic need wire ropes that can handle extreme cold and saltwater. This 8×37 galvanized rope with high carbon fiber core is a game-changer— the core keeps the rope flexible even at -20°C, and the galvanization prevents rust under ice and salt conditions. Triple strand twist adds extra durability against abrasion from ice floes. An excellent choice for harsh polar marine operations.

22mm 8x37 Galvanizing High Carbon Fiber Core Triple Strand Twisted Marine Wire Rope
Nigeria Oct 11.2025
As a coastal construction contractor in Lagos, we rely on this 22mm wire rope for lifting materials onto offshore platforms. The high carbon fiber core provides the strength we need for heavy concrete blocks, and the galvanized layer resists corrosion from the Atlantic Ocean’s salt spray. Triple strand construction is tough enough to handle rough handling on construction sites. Worth every penny—has outperformed cheaper alternatives we’ve tried before.

Canada Aug 13.2025
Our port operates in cold waters, and these fenders perform reliably even in near-freezing temperatures. They don’t become brittle like cheaper rubber fenders, and their shock absorption remains top-tier. The simple maintenance routine means less downtime for our berths—exactly what we need.
