Product Description:
Navigation buoy is self-stabilized with a low center of gravity to prevent the buoy from floating upside down.The Navigation Buoy has a polyethylene outer shell filled with EPS foam. The keel is zinc coated to provide excellent corrosion resistance.

Material Advantages:
HDPE material characteristics: Made from high-density polyethylene (HDPE), it has extremely strong corrosion resistance, can withstand erosion from seawater, freshwater, and acidic or alkaline environments, and is non-toxic and does not pollute water bodies. The material itself has excellent toughness and can withstand wind and wave impacts, as well as ship collisions without easy damage, and will not crack even in low-temperature conditions.
Structural design adaptability: The diameter of 1.2 meters takes into account both buoyancy and stability. The interior of the floating body is filled with closed-cell foaming or hollow sealed structures. Even if a part is damaged, it will not sink, ensuring the continuous effectiveness of the navigation function. Some products are equipped with thickened shells (thickness ≥ 12mm), further enhancing the impact resistance and wear resistance.
Manufacturing Process:
1. Raw material preparation and formula formulation
Select high-density polyethylene (HDPE) particles (density ≥ 0.94 g/cm³), combine them with anti-aging agents, UV absorbers, impact-modifying agents and other additives, and mix them evenly in proportion.
Dry the raw materials (temperature 80-100°C, time 2-3 hours) to remove moisture impurities and prevent the formation of bubbles, pinholes and other defects on the surface after molding.
2. Float body molding processing
Use rotational molding process to pour the mixed raw materials into a custom 1.2-meter-diameter mold.
Place the mold in the rotational molding machine, rotate it bidirectionally (horizontal + vertical) and heat it at high temperature (180-220°C) to make the raw materials evenly adhere to the inner wall of the mold and melt and form. After 30-60 minutes of insulation, gradually cool down to room temperature before opening the mold.
For closed-cell foaming structures of the float body, inject foaming materials (such as polyurethane foam) synchronously during the molding process to ensure uniform internal filling and enhance buoyancy and anti-sinking performance.
3. Structural reinforcement and precision processing
Perform edge trimming on the molded float body, remove the excess material edges at the mold closure line, and polish the surface burrs to ensure a smooth appearance.
At key positions such as the bottom and top of the float body, weld or heat-melt install mooring rings and ear plates (material: stainless steel 316L to prevent corrosion), and use ultrasonic welding to reinforce the connection points to ensure the load-bearing strength meets the standards.
For thickened products, add reinforcing ribs inside the shell through heat-melt bonding to enhance impact resistance.
4. Closed-cell sealing and waterproof testing
For hollow-structured float bodies, use hot air welding to seal the ports to ensure overall waterproofing; for closed-cell foaming structures, check the filling density to avoid internal voids.
Perform underwater static pressure testing by fully immersing the float body in water for 24 hours to detect any leakage, decrease in buoyancy or other issues. Unqualified products need to be resealed.
5. Surface treatment and identification production
The surface of the float body is treated by sandblasting to enhance the adhesion of the coating, and then sprayed with special marine-grade anti-corrosion paint (color customized according to IALA standards, such as red, green, yellow), with a coating thickness of ≥ 0.8mm to ensure resistance to ultraviolet rays and seawater erosion.
Attach reflective identification stickers or print warning signs, navigation numbers and other information through screen printing to ensure clear and wear-resistant identification.
6. Functional component assembly
Install top equipment brackets, fix solar panels, LED navigation lights, radar reflectors and other components, connect the circuits and conduct power-on tests to ensure the flashing frequency and brightness of the lights comply with navigation standards.
If additional hydrological monitoring functions are required, install sensors at the reserved interfaces and debug the data transmission stability.
7. Finished product inspection and factory acceptance
Conduct comprehensive performance tests, including buoyancy test (ensure the load ≥ design requirements), stability test (simulate 5-level wind waves environment), and light endurance test (solar power supply endurance ≥ 72 hours).
Verify the product size (diameter, wall thickness, weight), appearance quality, and compliance of identification, and all indicators must meet the standards before issuing the test report and packaging for delivery.

Moreover, the material does not accumulate dirt or breed marine organisms, and only requires regular checks on the battery level of the indicator lights and the mooring strength in the future.
Long service life: The HDPE material has excellent anti-aging performance. Under normal use, its service life can reach 10-15 years, far exceeding that of traditional steel or concrete buoys. It also has a high recycling rate and is more environmentally friendly.

The color and light configuration can be customized according to different navigation channel grades (such as inland river grade A, coastal waterway).
